Bless Your Home With These Biblical Truths

FIRST THINGS FIRST!

These biblical truths can and should be used in ANY home. New or old. New build or renovation. Apartment, condo or townhome.

Okay?! Cool. Let’s dive in.

If you haven’t seen it yet, my husband and I just recently purchased our first home together. I shared it with my instagram and facebook family the day after… and I mean it was a dream then and it’s still a dream now. I am just so grateful to God for everything He’s done in my life. We weren’t always in this space in life. We’ve come such a long way.

Having stayed in our two-bedroom apartment for a year and a half, we decided it was time to truly plant ourselves, our new family, in DFW, Texas. We started our new construction journey July 2020.

This home is so significant to us already, but noting God’s truth in this new space that would soon be ours is something we’ll never forget. God’s Word will now forever be written on/in this home.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 tells us to inscribe God’s commandments on the doorposts of your home and so you know we did exactly that, period’t!

Keep reading and I’ve shared some of my fav truths to bless your home regardless of if your building, renovating, owning, or renting.

ps. If you do not own your home that is OK! You can write these truths on a small piece of paper, index card or post-it note.

pss. If you are not writing on the wood or steel frame of your home, same rules apply as above.

psss. Everything you do for God and under His instruction does not have to be on display if that applies to you and your situation.

So… first came the foundation, and finally, then came the framing and the walls.

This was the perfect opportunity to continue marking our authority on this new land / territory in a special way.

We stopped at the dollar tree, grabbed a two-pack of red and blue permanent markers and brought them to the framed house. We pulled up and began praising and worshiping…then we literally marked almost every inch of structural wood frame in sight…

It’s been a little over 90 days and this house is becoming our home. The peace, the love, the joy we feel here. I can’t wait to decorate, furnish and continue praising God in this home and on this land.

I’d love for you to share some of your favorite verses in the comments.

Until next time.
